- 2010
- Jardine Lloyd Thompson now has revenue in excess of $AUS170m.
- 2007
- JLT Corporate Risks Ltd agreed to acquire Pavilion and the company changed to JLT|Online in October 2007.
- 2005
- Jardine Lloyd Thompson named Asian Broker of the Year for the fourth time in five years.
- 2004
- Jardine Lloyd Thompson voted European Commercial Broker of the Year.

- Acquisition of Burke Ford (Holdings) Ltd (Formation of Jardine Lloyd Thompson UK Holdings)
- 1997
- The Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group was formed in February 1997 by the merger of Jardine Insurance Brokers and Lloyd Thompson Group. The merger combined Lloyd Thompson specialist skills and the JIB International network making the JLT Group the fifth largest insurance broker in the world. Since 1997 the Group has continued to develop both by strong organic growth and by selective acquisitions.
- 1991
- Jardine Insurance Brokers was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1991. It boasted a strong presence in the Asia Pacific region and was also represented in Continental Europe and the Americas.
- 1984
- Jardine Australian Insurance Brokers was formed following the merger of Jardine Insurance Brokers Australia, Australian Insurance Brokers and Jardine Wesfarmers Perth. This merger created the sixth largest Insurance Broker in Australia, which in 1984 had revenues of $AUS10.4m. The focus of the business was orientated towards the Corporate insurance market and this provided the substantial foundation for the business which today is known as JLT Australia, with revenue in excess of $AUS80m.
- 1981
- Lloyd Thompson was founded in 1981 and listed on the London Stock Exchange in October 1987. From it’s origins as a specialist marine hull and energy broker, Lloyd Thompson grew rapidly into all classes of wholesale and reinsurance business and developed a strong London market presence.
- 1970
- The foundations of Jardine Insurance Brokers were laid in the early 1970’s and the business grew rapidly as a result of acquisitions and organic growth covering wholesale, retail and reinsurance broking.
