How to make a claim
If you need to make a claim on your JDT Arrangement
Refer to the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for the details of your JDT Arrangement claims centre.
In the interim, take all reasonable steps to protect your property and minimise further damage. As a guide to what is reasonable, act as if you had no JDT Arrangement protection. In relation to liability matters do not admit any liability or make any payments.
When you call, your claims service officer will:
- Advise if a claim form is required;
- Advise of any additional information requirements or instructions; and
- If required, appoint an assessor.
You must notify any potential claim or claims as soon as possible but at the latest within the three (3) month period after the expiry of the Fund Period, otherwise it cannot be considered by the Trustee.
The limitation when notice must be given does not apply to claims under the Insurance Cover. You may lodge such a claim for an event which occurs while you are a Member and it will be subject to the Insurer's policy terms and conditions and relevant legislation.
